The way that you structure your three or four year program with us will depend on the outcomes you are seeking and whether you are seeking a fellowship with either or both of the two professional colleges.
Our curriculum map shows you the topics that we address in our face-to-face workshops and small group tutorials. You may need to ask your supervisor to ensure that you address the other topics in your in-practice experience. In addition you might like to include one of the many specialised training options that we offer.
It is impossible to show all the options that are available to you so we have asked some of our registrars to share their stories with you. Please take a moment to read about their experiences.
It is important to remember that in order to complete the AGPT Program you will need to secure employment with a number of suitable training posts. It is RACGP policy that you must gain experience in at least two general practices which usually means that you need to work in more than one town or city. To broaden your experience we also require you to complete at least six months in a town within our Zone 2.
